Trolley Saga Station

The brick station building adjacent to Saga-Arashiyama Station on the JR Sagano Line is the Torokko Saga Station. Inside the building, there is a ticket office for the Hozu River cruise as well as a ticket office for the Sagano Romantic Train.
The museum also houses the "19th Century Hall," which exhibits an SL train, a piano and a large organ that played a role in the development of music and art, and "Diorama Kyoto Japan," one of the largest railroad dioramas in Japan.

*If you are traveling from Trolley Kameoka Station to the Hozu River boat terminal, please note the arrival time at Trolley Kameoka Station, the access and time required from the station to the boat terminal, and the departure time of the Hozu River boat.

Diorama Kyoto JAPAN

"Diorama Kyoto JAPAN" is one of the largest railroad dioramas in western Japan.
The diorama is designed to look like the streets of Kyoto, and features a variety of HO-gauge model trains, including Shinkansen and limited express trains, and a master controller (commonly known as "mass controller") that allows visitors to operate HO-gauge model trains in the same way as a real train driver.

19th Century Hall

The "19th Century Hall" not only exhibits the steam locomotives that have supported the history of the museum in their original form, but also displays a grand piano and a large organ that played a role in the development of music and art, and has a café attached to it.

Saga-no-an

"Saga-no-an" is a store located at Torokko Saga Station, the first station of the Torokko train. The entire store is decorated with the image of a bamboo grove, a famous sightseeing spot in Saga Arashiyama, based on the concept of a bamboo forest. In addition to original products for the Sagano Romantic Train, we also offer famous confections from Kyoto.

Located in front of Diorama Kyoto JAPAN, "Ran Ran" offers a wide range of railroad goods, from stationery to daily necessities to railroad parts that were used on the Sagano Romantic Train.

Kyoto Sagano Kyomatsuri Saga Station Branch, located in front of the Torokko Saga Station store "Ran Ran", is a train-view restaurant where you can enjoy your meal while looking at the torokko train and JR trains.

SL ROMAN CAFE

SL ROMAN CAFE is located in the 19th Century Hall of Trolley Saga Station, where you can enjoy authentic coffee made with a siphon while viewing a real SL.
