Tickets become invalid if you get off before the final stop.
To ride on “The Rich” car (car No. 5), tell a staff member you would like to ride on the “Sagano Rich Car” when purchasing your ticket. Select “Sagano Rich Car” when making a reservation via the online reservation service (If no seats are available, an “×” will appear on the train selection screen). “The Rich” car has no windows. Before purchasing, please note that you may get wet during rainy weather.

- Tickets can be bought from JR West and Japanese travel agencies beginning at 10 a.m. on the day 1 month prior to your ride date.
※JR West sales are restricted to select stations in the Keihanshin (Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe) area for tickets after March 1, 2020.

- The ticket offices at each Torokko station will sell day-of tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
Saga Torokko Station:approx. 8:35 a.m.
Arashiyama Torokko Station:approx. 8:50 a.m.
Kameoka Torokko Station:approx. 9:10 a.m.
- A small number of standing tickets will be made available for purchase once reserved tickets sell out.
Regular (one-way) fares are all the same price, regardless of distance traveled.

「JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION」
To change or refund a ticket after submitting a reservation, click “Reservation Lookup/Changes/Refunds” on the JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION main screen of the JR West website.
※A ¥220 fee will be deducted from all ticket refunds.
※After receiving your tickets, bring them to a Midori-no-Madoguchi counter at a major JR West station.
※Please note that you will not be able to board at further stations if you miss your departure or get off before the final stop.
